Building a tiny relay interface from an old magazine. Before it goes near the C64, I am checking the board on a bench supply and verifying every user-port pin against the schematic.
Posting this because “the connector fits” is not an electrical test.

And check orientation twice. Edge connectors are extremely confident even when upside down.
Add current limiting for first power-up. A cheap mistake stays cheap that way.
