Mine: ask before mirroring somebody's download, even when it is free. Keeping a file available and having permission to republish it are different things.

Say what you already tried when asking for repair help. It saves time and shows respect for whoever answers.
Credit the artist, musician, and coder separately when you can. “Made by X group” hides a lot of hands.
Leave the answer in public after you solve it. The quiet reader next year may have the same problem.
