Power strip on, monitor first, drive second, computer last. Then I type a directory command even when I already know what is on the disk.
Apparently I need the machine to prove it is itself before we begin.

Rewind the tape to zero, even if I am loading from disk. The counter should not be left at 347.
Border color poke. If the screen goes orange, the session is officially open.
