The slightly yellow breadbin is Gerald because that was written inside the case in pencil. The C64C is simply “the white one,” which feels unfair.

Mine is Trevor. No story; it looked like a Trevor when it arrived.
Machines get inventory numbers. Drives get names after they misbehave.
The game-night C64 is Captain Beige. I will not be taking questions.
