The disk drive doing its little startup knock is probably mine. Not the healthy smooth noises, specifically that one blunt clunk that says the evening has begun.

A 1541 finishing a load and going suddenly quiet. That silence means I can stop worrying for a minute.
The space bar on an early breadbin keyboard. It sounds unnecessarily important.
Carrier tone, if peripherals count. Still makes me sit up straight.
