Opened another case with three different screw types forced into the bottom posts. Two posts survived, one is now mostly optimism.
I am sorting a labeled spare set this week. Measure before tightening, and if it starts cutting a new thread, stop.

My favorite is the extra-long screw directly under the keyboard. Nothing bad could happen there.
A cheap thread gauge earned permanent bench space for exactly this reason.
