Mine came from dialing old BBS numbers late at night and getting mostly silence. Not mysterious, just too stubborn to delete the list.

Mine was a joke in an art folder and then it stuck for twenty years.
Game nickname. The zero is there because somebody beat me to the obvious spelling in 1998.
