Turned on a machine that had been stored for a while and got the familiar warm dusty smell. No smoke, no hot power brick, nothing visibly unhappy. Just instant 1987.
Please tell me I am not the only person whose memory is apparently wired directly to old plastic.

Old plastic plus a freshly opened box of disks. Strongest time machine in the house.
Nostalgia is allowed, but keep checking temperatures. The dangerous smells are usually less charming.
